American Sign Design: Another Win for Tampa’s Creative Sign Designs
The internationally-recognized architectural sign company brings home two more category wins in the 2011 United States Sign Council Sign Design Competition
Tampa, Fla. (August 2011) – The United States Sign Council (USSC) Annual Sign Design Competition recognizes signage projects from its member firms and design staff that are representative of high quality sign design capabilities. Two of Tampa’s Creative Sign Designs projects were awarded first place in two of 12 of the contest’s categories.
Creative’s “Glazer Children’s Museum” project, designed by James Montero, stole first 
place in the contest’s “Building Signs – Internal Illumination”. Creative’s “Cott Beverage” project, designed by Kim McGinnis, tied for the win in the “Sign Systems” category. Other categories included ground signs, vehicle graphics and wraps, digitally printed signs and banners, hand-painted and carved signs, dimensional signs, multimedia, and original logo design.

Winners of the USSC 2011 Sign Design Competition were selected on August 9, 2011 at USSC Headquarters by a panel of judges including Art Sutley of Simmons-Boardman, Jerry Painter of Astro Sign Co., and Jeff Sutley of Sign Builder Illustrated.
Winning entries will be displayed at the Sign World International December 1-3, 2011 in Atlantic City, NJ, as well as featured in the 2012 USSC Sign Design Calendar.
