Tropicana Field, home of Major League Baseball's Tampa Bay Rays, is the only non-retractable, domed stadium in Major League Baseball and has a total of 2,776 club seats. When the Tampa Bay Rays and Hancock Bank began the rebranding project from the Whitney Bank Club to the Hancock Bank Club, Creative Sign Designs stepped in.
Creative Sign Designs was introduced by the Tampa Bay Rays to rebrand multiple sign types and offer an innovative solution for the dim-lit club section. Hancock Bank gave us total design freedom to propose an “activation of the space” with several options, photos, and samples.
We conducted a site survey to evaluate the space and identify new ways to rebrand the indoor signage and bring visibility to the area. After listening to our clients’ concerns about the dark atmosphere, we proposed a new custom product to illuminate the space and embellish the architectural design of the Hancock Bank Club.
Edge-lit acrylics are a simple and efficient light source for new signage concepts. We applied Hancock Bank’s business logo to the LED-illuminated acrylic for a unique and custom interior architectural signage solution. Upon approval from the Tampa Bay Rays and Hancock Bank, we successfully designed, fabricated and installed the interior signs in a compressed timeline to sustain a flawless experience for Tropicana Field’s guests.
