Campus Signs & School Entrance Signs: SPC

Indoor & Outdoor School Signs

In September 1927, Florida's first two-year institution of higher learning - St. Petersburg Junior College - opened in an unused wing of the then-new St. Petersburg High School.  Over the years, the college expanded from two campuses to 10 learning sites, and now has one of the most highly acclaimed distance learning programs in the nation. In June 2001, SPJC dropped the junior from its name, becoming St. Petersburg College, the first among Florida's 28 public community colleges to transition to a four-year institution. St. Petersburg College stands astride an 82-year tradition of excellence wrought by dedicated faculty and visionary leadership. Affordable, accredited, comprehensive in its offerings, responsive to community needs and committed to student success, SPC has been a major player in Pinellas County's pursuit of progress.

Creative Sign Designs has partnered on many campus signs for the time-honored and beautiful St. Petersburg downtown and Gibbs campuses.   Refurbishing and providing new indoor and outdoor school signs for several of the departments including the college’s nationally-recognized Applied Ethics Institute, Music Building, Music Industry Recording Arts Studio and Student Services Building as well as partnering on a master plan exterior signage program that is being implemented throughout the campuses. Our entrance signs and campus signs helped update the overall look and feel of this historic site to keep up with the many changes that have occurred as it has grown and expanded over the years.
