Custom Medical Office Signage
The Cancer Support Community is an international non-profit organization with a network of nearly 50 local affiliates and more than 100 satellite locations. Dedicated to providing support, education and hope to people affected by cancer, the Cancer Support Community is the largest employer of psychosocial oncology mental health professionals in the United States.
Creative Sign Designs provided all interior signage and outdoor directional signs for the Florida Suncoast’s 11,142-square-foot “Building Hope” in Sarasota, Florida. The facility’s interior includes a large multi-purpose room and teaching kitchen; the exterior provides landscaped outdoor spaces, healing gardens, a central courtyard, and a dining terrace.
Custom medical office signage products and manufacturing processes provided by Creative Sign Designs were eco-friendly for the Cancer Support Community fabrication and installation project. As a brand new, state-of-the-art flagship model for the Cancer Support Community, “Building Hope” earned LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. The building incorporates energy efficiency and water conservation features and was constructed from eco-friendly materials.
In addition to the custom medical signage system, Creative Sign Designsc created a donor recognition wall, measuring over 20 feet long and 9 feet high. It is a one-of-a-kind design with leaves arranged to represent contributors to the Cancer Support Community. Patina-finished aluminum leaves are stud-mounted to the interior wall in six different colors and seven different sizes to represent eight different levels of contribution. For donations of over $200,000, an additional legacy leaf allowed contributors to dedicate their donation to the memory of a loved one, with a platinum-colored leaf with black copy was reserved for the largest contributor. Accompanying the donor ‘tree’ is a donor wall plaque describing the categorized colors and sizes, as well as an acrylic graphic tribute to cancer patients and their supporters. Over 100 leaves were designed, fabricated, and installed for the donor recognition wall.
